Hundreds of families attended the third annual IPS Back-to-School Festival at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on Saturday, August 3.

A partnership between the district and the Indiana Historical Society, this year’s event featured games, live music from Radio One stations, and booths featuring IPS departments and community organizations, including the Boys Scouts, the Girl Scouts and the Indiana Youth Group.

The highlight of the event was the free backpacks and school supplies that students received throughout the day. Enroll Indy was also on hand to help students register for IPS schools.

It was a great way to get students prepared and ready for the new school year.

Here’s a look at some of the day’s highlights.
