On Dec. 3, the gymnasium inside Ralph Waldo Emerson School 58 was turned into a makeshift store filled with loads of winter-weather gear.

Indianapolis Colts staff, including cheerleaders and several players, joined volunteers from locally based LIDS to outfit more than 250 children at the school with new winter coats, gloves and knit hats as a part of the 14th annual Lids for Kids.

Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett was one of the players on hand, helping to put smiles on students’ faces.

Volunteers worked with each child to ensure the items fit properly. In addition to the new apparel, students also received new Colts gear.
