A Hand Gesture of Hope

Three IPS schools held high-five rallies on the first day of school. The popular hand gesture drew smiles and lots of laughter from our scholars at Elder W. Diggs School 42, James Whitcomb Riley School 43 and Louis B. Russell Jr. School 48.

Team Rosters Filling Up for the IPS Golf Classic

With the registration deadline looming, our teams for the inaugural IPS Golf Classic are quickly filling up. Celebrity golfers and novices will join business leaders and community supporters to raise funds for the district’s Career Technology Center students.

Presentations Point Toward Future at IPS

At the July agenda review and action sessions, the Indianapolis Public Schools Board of School Commissioners reviewed several important presentations regarding the future of IPS schools and services to our students and families.

Young Performers Begin New Year at Edison

The district’s elementary and middle school performing arts students began a new adventure at Edison School of the Arts School 47. The new hub for arts education is open to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.

The District Shined at 2016 Convocation

Approximately 5,000 IPS employees filled the Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for our second annual Convocation, sponsored by AT&T; and Grand Canyon University.
